Our joint meeting with Torquay at the Davidson Restaurant was a wonderful evening. Our Club was represented by 35 Rotarians and partners. Rotary business was kept the minimum so that we could all enjoy the beautiful food and the company -Maggie Isom had ensured that all tables had both Torquay and Grovedale members. Mark (Manager of the Davidson Restaurant) told us a little of the history of the restaurant and introduced the trainee chefs and waiters.
Thanks to Greg Cooke who donated 2 special tickets to the Collingwood/Geelong match at the MCG. Greg Plumridge (Torquay) auctioned the tickets for a donation to Rotary Foundation. Thank you to Graeme Saddington who purchased the tickets - may the best team win!
Thank you so much to David C for organising the event. It was a pity that he and Trish were unable to attend.
It was great that Heather Perkins was able to attend but likewise a pity that Graham couldn’t attend.
We’re thinking of you Trish and Graham and wish you both a full recovery. Get well soon!
