President's Report

Meeting 23^rd December

Season’s Greetings to all members, partners, families and friends. Good wishes for a happy Christmas and New Year.

Our meeting tonight thanked and acknowledged the Friends of Rice Village who prepare and serve our meals throughout the year. We enjoyed a very pleasant meal and evening together. Thank you to Jan who organised the gifts which were presented to our Friends.

Prior to the meeting, Santa (Greg and Carlie) and his helpers many Rotarians, partners, friends and dogs) delivered gifts to the residents of Belmont Grange, Balmoral Grove and Rice Village. A big thank you to all who assisted with the gift giving today and especially Jan who organised the rosters and visits. The gifts selected were a big hit with the residents, so again thank you for your help in sourcing them, Paul.

Congratulations and a big thank you to Pam, for all the work she has done to bring the Gifting program to fruition. The Christmas card which is sent to recognise a donation to one of our causes looks terrific and I was thrilled to receive one. It was also pleasing to receive a donation to the Gifting Program in the Club mail – obviously a response to one of our brochures.

Please think of the Gifting program for birthdays, weddings, funerals etc in the future.

Thank you in advance to those who have volunteered to help at the Boxing Day Races BBQ. May your horse(s)run well on the forecast heavy track and ….we do need the rain.

Reminder: District conference 17 – 19^th March. Registrations are now open and you don’t have to attend the whole conference. Book and pay for the sessions you wish to attend.

In between the partying, may you all find some time for relaxation and come back reinvigorated to commence another fun and fulfilling year at Rotary.
