Wednesday 13th July

Very happy to announce we have received permission from Bernadette Bartok to put signs at the entrance of the village.

Thanks Bob for another BBQ at Bunnings held under poor conditions.

David Carlyle will get Les Duck to give his assessment of the p.a. system.

We had an excellent speaker, Jonathon Clarke who has devoted 6 years to feeding the homeless of Geelong & district. Runs with all volunteers, needs $5000.00 each month to run his charity and warehouse and has to do 2 Bunnings BBQs a week.

We decided at the later Board meeting to donate $1000.00 to his cause.

The Board meeting focused on membership and the directions the club will take to increase it.

A MATTER OF VERY SIGNIFICANT IMPORTANCE IS THE DECISION BY THE BOARD TO ASK THE MEMBERS TO AGREE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE CLUB TO

GROVEDALE WAURN PONDS ROTARY

(Subject to me gaining permission after advice from fellow Board members it may have to be ROTARY CLUB)

Club Name Change Vote

Hi All

At the Club's Board meeting last Wednesday. It was recommended to take a new name to members for their support.

The Board would like to recommend the following new name for the Club.

That the current name - Rotary Club of Grovedale be changed to Grovedale Waurn Ponds Rotary.

President Bill would like members to consider the name change and he will put it to members at the next meeting on Wednesday 20 July 2016.
