With just half the members in attendance last night, I remind you please –
To ring in your apology as early as possible
If you are in the country, please try to read your newsletter and emails and RESPOND (yea or nay) to any requests – this will help activity organisers immensely.
Thanks to all who have completed their Club Visioning Survey. Jane had requested them by 1st Nov so you have a few days left. Club Visioning on 11th November, is a special 4 hour meeting commencing at 5.30 pm.
Sandy’s Working Bee: A big thank you to Bill and Devi, David W, Peter, Ken, Graeme S and Greg who joined me, Christine and Sandy to level Sandy’s vegie garden and clean up the yard and garage. We filled the huge skip in no time. David had fun coaxing Sandy’s ancient rotary hoe into action and we all enjoyed the wonderful morning tea provided by Christine.
Ray and I spent time on the Ice Information Stall in Market Square - distributing pamphlets, wrist bands to those who came by and were interested. We probably have not made a big impact on what is a huge problem, but it was good to join other District Rotarians for this cause and the fight must go on.
Following approval from Board and with the list supplied by Simone Smith (Gateways), I was able to obtain from Dymocks and Booktopia most of the children’s books requested. I have delivered them to Gateways so that they can be used immediately in their early childhood programs.
If however you have any Golden Books, Spot books or Maisy books (in good condition) which you have outgrown, please bring them along and I will deliver them to Simone.
Thanks to our crews for both the October Aldi and Bunnings BBQs – it is great that so many have been willing to help, and special thanks to Bob for all the organisation that these entail.
