Ray and I are helping on the ICE Information stall in Market Square today and tomorrow – part of the Geelong ICE task force. We’ll let you know how we go, what we learn!

At Board last night, it was agreed that we merge the Membership and PR roles since they are closely related – Christine agreed to take this on, and David C will now be our Social Director.
Expenditure approvals included : $50 to Belmont RC to support the Mentoring for Tradesmen Program; $150 for children’s books to be donated to Gateways for their early learning programs; $250 in support of Weekend to End all Cancers and $400 to House of Angels to cover operating costs for 1 month.
Please remember to complete the survey sent by Jane Cox and Cathy Roth and return before November 1st. This is in preparation for our Club Visioning on November 11th.

Jan G Has organized Xmas dinner at the Geelong Boat House 9 Dec . Cost $45 per person which will include, Ouers d' Houves, main course and nibbles. We require 50 minimum to attend. Please get numbers in to Jan asap. Jan to advise on child price.

Fundraising Report
With the annual Dinner Auction held on the 9th of Oct 2015 and raising $19300.00 the fundraising director is very happy.
With fantastic input and help from all members it turned out a very prosperous night and I would like to thank all those members who went out and collected items, attended the night and helped set up and run the night.
Again it proved that when we work together great things happen.

PUBLIC RELATIONS REPORT 20.10.15
It appears this year that there is a lot of cross over with the Membership Committee. As we have $500 to spend on a new brochure for the Club, it would seem more prudent for the Membership Committee to take control of this.
I have now been upgraded to Administrator on our Facebook site. This means I can boost posts (we have $300 to spend).
I would like to use this to promote Club Activities. If you have any ideas let me know.David Carlyle. Director.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE COMMITTEE REPORT 14th October 2015
A discussion was had about the possibility of ongoing support of the House of Angels project in Coffee Bay South Africa. After April and Dawn presented to the club and showed us what had been achieved, we are researching the possibility of joining together with a Rotary Club near to Coffee Bay (Umtata) to further develop the facility.
The cost of running the House of Angels is approximately AUS $400 a month. We recommended the Board consider donating that amount.
David Wilson informed the committee that our past exchange student, Jhon Jhon from Mexico, is transferring US$1000.00 to our account designated to the Water project in Nepal.
