President's Report

Meeting 16^th December 2015

Congratulations to Bella for a wonderful presentation to take to Germany –she had prepared an engaging introductory video and comprehensive and informative PowerPoint about herself, the Cooke family, Geelong, Victoria and Australia. Thank you also Cooke family for providing more Aussie food for supper.

Thank you to Paul and Rhonda for obtaining the Christmas balls which are the gifts to be distributed to the ‘oldies’ next Wednesday. It was necessary to activate the lights on each of the balls which occupied all in attendance for most of the meal time and while we enjoyed the supper provided.

Thank you to all the partners who attended tonight to support Bella – it was great to have you along, for what became a busy, productive and enjoyable meeting.

It was great to see Joe again. Joe popped in to say hello and wish us a merry Christmas.

Sandy is now in rehab at Grace Mackellar. He is able to receive visitors.

Boxing Day BBQ Geelong Races–If you are able to help for even a short time, please let Bob know ASAP.

Don has arranged a tour of the new library at 6.00- 700pm on the 13^th January. Members, partners, friends are all welcome. Dinner at a nearby restaurant will be arranged, though optional. Further information coming.

Reminder: District Conference 17 – 19^th March. Registrations are now open and it would be good to have the Club well represented. It is possible to select and pay for just some of the sessions.

Torquay Joint Meeting
